Luckily, I did not update my iPhone software to IOS 11.1, and therefore, my iPhone is not bugging me. This is one of the reasons why I like to wait for a few days and let Apple fix all the bugs each time there is a new IOS update. However, a lot of my friends did experience the auto-correct bug.

So, to help my friends, I looked to my old friend Google and found out that Apple has provided a temporary workaround until it fixes the bug. The workaround is that you can use Text Replacement feature. To create a new text replacement, go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement. Next, click on the plus sign in the top right corner. Beside Phrase, type “I,” and beside Shortcut, type “i.” Tap Save in the top right.
